Manage a set of engineers and technicians to ensure key plant equipment are maintained properly for 100% plant availability

Developed and implemented maintenance management control system, including a preventive maintenance programme for pressure vessels.

Supervise tests such as NDT/NDE /elasticity for pressure vessels on air separation and industrial plants

Train and provide development opportunities for plant engineers and acquaint them with company’s policies and operational procedures for air separation and industrial plants

Maintain optimal operations personnel (within allowable budget). Recruit staff as permitted, provide disciplinary action when appropriate.

Support the production and technical staff by being available by phone during non-business hours

Maintained quality control processes to ensure product and services meet quality standards; lead implementation of process improvements such as HACCP and ISO 9001/14000/FSSC 22000

Drive improvement strategies in all key metric areas; manage production flow, staffing schedule and resources to budget and plan.

Assist with the preparation of annual budgets

Reviews and analyzes expenditure, financial, and operations reports to determine requirements and makes recommendations to the General Manager that will improve overall efficiency.

Procure air separation plant (LOX, LIN, CO2) and equipment for installation at IGL Ferry, St. Catherine.

Project manager for installation of air seperation plant and combined heat and power plant (CHP) equipment at IGL Ferry, St. Catherine.

Major Achievements:

Project manager for installation of air separation and chp plant in 2017/2018 – US$5M

Diagnose and solve lubrication problems for Acetylene compressors resulting in a saving of J$2.5 million dollars

Project manager for Installation of liquid oxygen storage tanks at all major hospitals in Jamaica. This resulted in savings for both customers and company.

Spearhead major Medical Gas installation projects at major hospitals totaling over JA$100M in revenue for IGL over the past 10 years

Installed new technology at the plant to produce the VAPE MAT mosquito destroyer. This resulted in a savings of J$1.5 million dollars
