Served as principal advisor to the Commanding General (CG), Chief of Staff, and Senior Leadership on command-wide EO/EEO matters. Managed the organization’s Equal Opportunity (EO) Program and provided leadership and guidance to over 8,300 Soldiers, Department of the Army Civilians and Contractors, geographically dispersed over 19 locations in continental United States and Overseas.
Under the Command’s Climate Assessment Program, monitored workforce climate at the organizational levels and provided guidance to leaders addressing potential barriers to EO; prepared the CG’s quarterly and annual EO training guidance for FY15, 16 and 17; developed, coordinated, and conducted quarterly training sessions for senior leaders, to include the CG, on EO-related topics such as Alternative Dispute Resolution, Anti-Harassment, and the EO complaint process. Continuously assessed the organization’s climate by executing multiple workforce surveys and focus groups.
Analyzed the DEOMI Organizational Climate Survey (DEOCS) by applying analytical skills and EO principles to identify and solve complex issues by reviewing, researching, interviewing personnel, and initiating a wide range of program planning and teambuilding activities; analyzed the impact of change within the organization and provided recommendations to the Commanding General and the Commanders of subordinate units.
Evaluated and formulated command-wide EO policy and provided guidance and directions on implementation. Planned, managed, and developed EO programs and practices which had direct organization-wide impact, specifically in coordinating and executing the organization’s special emphasis programs. As the overseer of the Installation Equal Opportunity Program, worked with the team on the preparation and coordination of the Sergeant Majors of the Army's "Not in My Squad" initiative.

EO Complaint’s Program, prepared summary of the status of command-wide complaints, briefed it to the Commanding General and Chief of Staff. Managed EO complaint files ensuring they had appropriate documentation; reviewed investigative reports submitted by EO investigators, prepared recommendation disposition for unit commanders; identified trends in issues, basis, and/or alleged responsible officials. Monitored the trends to determine whether there were hidden biases, cross cultural communication issues, or other organizational effects. Established effective relationships with employees and management to provide technical guidance and aid to individuals seeking to resolve allegations of discrimination or to execute the EO complaint process.
Conducted research and provided a coordinated accurate and substantive responses to complex oral and written DA or Commander’s inquires preparing to the EO program. Prepared responses to taskers or questions received from the Department of the Army, major commands, managers, and employees and developed position papers and presentations on topics and conducts briefings on findings as related to complaint processing and best practices.

Conducted Staff Assistance Visits at various Test Centers to evaluate their EO program’s effectiveness and ensure compliance with prescribed laws and regulations. Collaborated with the Freestate Challenge program coordinator to give the youth a great opportunity provided mentorship for over 50 cadets, for them to learn about themselves, challenge their capabilities, and set realistic personal goals and record their accomplishment. Established a good working relationship with the academy staff. We worked diligently with cadets to ensure they maintain their track to success and goal completion.

Required to contact and interview the aggrieved, management official, and any witnesses named. Once interviews are conducted, I prepare and submit a DA Form 7510, Counselor’s report for the APG EEO office. I provide prompt and accurate assistance and guidance to supervisors, managers, and employees.
Certified Mediator. Attended mediation training during the EOA program. Effectively coordinated and applied my facilitation and mediation skills when conducting command sensing sessions, focus groups, and face-to-face meetings for over 8,300 Soldiers, Department of the Army Civilians and Contractors dispersed over 19 locations in the Continental United States and Overseas.
