I am a skilled, ambitious and experienced specialist radiographer. I possess a solid working knowledge of neuro and general radiography and I am able to operate in a high-pressure environment whilst maintaining a high level of patient care. I offer many transferrable leadership and core skills.

Career Summary

Senior MRI Radiographer May 2018 to present

InHealth Group (Scotland Mobiles).

• Providing an MRI service to clients by Mobile MRI units (predominately NHS Boards).

• Responsible for own worklist and liaising with departments regarding any clinical issues.

• Trained and competent on the various GE and Siemens 1.5T scanners within the fleet.

• Mixture of outpatient and inpatient examinations. MSK extremities, Neuro, Spinal and Body Scans.

• Cannulation part of my role for CE examinations.

• Writing protocols for examinations.

• Training of MRI trainee staff.

Specialist Radiographer (Band 6) November 2015 to May 2018 Department of Clinical Neurosciences – NHS Lothian Edinburgh.

• MR- Trained on GE Discovery and Siemens Magnatom scanners using Medrad Injection systems. Range of neuro and spinal imaging including MRA’s, perfusion and ENT studies. Providing an on-call MR service for cord compression and Cauda Equina Syndrome examinations. Promoting MR Safety within the department.

• CT- Trained on Siemens Somatom scanners using Medrad Injection Systems. Experience includes various neuro imaging, CE and ENT studies, theatre planning scans, vascular angiographic studies, trauma and general bodywork.

• Neuro-interventional Bi-Plane Angiography. Trained on Siemens Artis Zee Bi-plane with a Leonardo Syngo workstation. Diagnostic and embolisation procedures, producing 3D reformats and spinal imaging.

• Neuro theatre screening using mobile Image Intensifiers (II). Trained on Siemens Vario and GE Fluorostar.

• Liaising with medical staff and various healthcare professionals within the Neuro unit, planning acute transfers to and from CT/MR/Angio to theatres. Training and assessing of Band 5 radiographers and students Diagnostic Radiographer June 2014 to November 2015 Western General Hospital – NHS Lothian Edinburgh.

• To justify and perform all general body and skeletal radiographic examinations and assist Radiologists during radiographic/interventional examinations.

• Trained to use Fiji CR systems, Siemens and GE fluoro systems and image intensifiers. Rotating through Acute, Lithotripsy, Urology, Neurology and main theatres/CEPOD.

• Assist PACS manager with PACS issues.

• Worked an on-call rota providing x-ray, theatre screening and interventional service for out of hours emergencies. Education
