Was responsible for all iGate - Patni Infrastructure projects, which included Architecture + Interiors for Software Development and BPOs. This also included M & E services, landscape, Leed Certification, etc for Green field projects as well as interior fit-outs in existing or shell & core buildings.
For Green field projects, the focus was to provide end to end solutions, beginning with recommendations for land purchase and thereon throughout the project till handover and occupancy
Role:
Role entailed advising the Board in all matters pertaining to infrastructure, preparing budgets and getting their approval
Collecting & collating requirements from various departments (internal clients & stakeholders) and constructing briefs for external Architects & other consultants
Assisting in selection of the right consultants as well as contractors
Heading an internal team of Civil Engineers, Project Managers
Ensuring project delivery with schedule, quantity, quality, safety and cost as key parameters
Monitoring was mainly at the macro level, but at times had to be tackled at the micro level too when required
Completed projects:
The sites were in Hyderabad, Noida, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Mexico & Mumbai in various stages of progress. Effective management of such widely spread projects was a key strength.
Notable projects:
Patni Knowledge Park at Airoli, Navi Mumbai: 630,000 sq ft spread over a 15 acre campus
Campus at Noida, NSEZ covering 460,000 sq ft
Additions, alterations and retrofitting at Patni Chennai campus
Patni campus at Pune (37 acres), Kolkata (14 acres) and Hyderabad (24.5 acres) were ongoing projects in SEZ areas
Several Interior fit-outs in Mumbai & Pune in the range of 15000 to 50000 sq feet
Has completed an Interior project at Santiago de Queretaro, Mexico as well, comprising 34000 sq ft

Was involved in setting up and running the Bangalore branch of Edifice from 1999 to 2002 as its head.
Has handled large Interior design projects like
1.Infosys Technologies (700,000 sq. ft at their Electronic city campus)
2.Genisys Technologies (35000 sq. ft at Whitefield)
3.Ernst & Young (20,000 sq. ft at Langford Road)
4.G.E. Capital (40,000 sq ft, corporate office as well Call Centre at Electronic City) and many others.
Many of these projects ran parallel to each other and called for a lot of multi-tasking
Responsibilities ranged from Project Management to Marketing, Admin, HR, Corporate Training (Communication Skills) etc
Designing was centralized at the Mumbai office with inputs from the site.
Project Management involved co-ordination with Clients, Contractors, Consultants, Floating of tenders, Negotiation, Periodic Site supervision, Scheduling, Bill Certification, etc
Was also involved in getting the ISO 9001-2000 certification for Edifice
