Resume:

Cover letter – Kobus Pelser

To whom it may concern

I hereby express my considerable interest in joining your Company on a permanent basis as an Aircraft Structures Fitter.( Aircraft Maintenance Engineer)

I have been working at Denel Aeronautics since 1991 as an airframe fitter doing structural work from drawings to In and out jig assembly work according to drawings, specification and Customer satisfaction.

I have done my 3 years apprenticeship in aircraft structures work from 1992 – 1994 in sheet metal work, manufacturing of parts to assembling of parts in Aircraft. I passed a test in the trade as Aircraft Structures Worker in accordance with standards recognized by the Aerospace Industry Training Board.

Since 1995 I work on different projects like the Pilatus PC7 where I build the Top Cowling from drawings, insert parts in Jig drill, ream holes, de burr holes, cleaning parts and sealing parts and riveting all together as per drawing and Customer requirements and maintaining a high Quality standard.

As time went on I moved over to other projects like Rooivalk Attack helicopter, building the lower torsion boxes and Tail boom. The work consists of working from drawings to assemble parts In Jig as per process chart. All work consist from drilling and reaming parts, de burr, inspect parts to drawing, inter Fay sealing of parts and riveting all together and maintaining High Quality of workmanship.

I worked on Gripen for a couple of years, mainly Jig work. I build the Rear fuselage and Main landing gear units. I build to drawing consisting of drilling, reaming, countersinking, sealing, riveting and close tolerance fasteners.

As the Gripen project came to an end I moved over to the Airbus A400M to build the Top Shell. All parts were located In Jig as per drawing and customer specification. The assembly consist of Drilling, reaming, riveting, installation of Hi-Lites and sealing. All the assemblies are bound to schedules and I had to manage my time with the Job hours provided. The main goal is on time delivery and customer satisfaction.

During the years I gained plenty of experience on structural assembly and I have experience on drilling holes, reaming tight tolerance holes with bus holders for straight holes, inserting of fasteners from rivets to Hi-Locks. I do the sealing of parts inter Fay and over sealing of fasteners. I always strive to give a job of high quality and customer satisfaction.

I am honest, reliable and a hard worker. I am dedicated to my job and will always go the extra mile to make sure that the work goes out on time. I am willing to relocate (Immigrate if Possible), working shifts and overtime if required. I am a Team player and able to work with people and can work under pressure .I was a Production Leader and can lead a Team. During the years I helped and trained apprentices and Operators to the best of my ability and to make sure that I transfer my skills to the younger generation.

My motto in Life is “If I trained a person he must be better than me then I know I had done my Job”

I am looking forward to working for you,

Your sincerely
