Project Scope

The New Refinery Project at Al-Zour is Kuwait's biggest development project with the crude processing capacity of 615,000 barrels per day (bpd).Essar Projects Limited consists of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-Commissioning and Assistance during Commissioning, Start-up and Performance Testing, in relation to package 4.

Essar's portion comprises build-out of tankages, roads, and bridges, buildings, pipe racks, pipelines, water systems and control systems as well as civil work, on an EPC basis.

Tank construction: - 66 No’s Offsite (Plant Fuel Oil & Slop Tankages, EICS, ICSS), Utilities (Water systems), Storage (General Storage), and pipe Sleepers.

Bridges and Access Roads: -3 No’s. Bridges: 92 Mtrs, 80 Mtrs and 41 Mtrs and access roads works.

Infrastructure:- Internal Roads -, Underground Piping Network and Culverts, (Buildings, Roads, Drainage, fences, catalyst staging)

Work Profile:

Responsibility to monitor and manage the Health and safety at AL- Zour New Refinery Project package 4, Tank construction, civil construction, roads, and bridges.

Responsible for formulates and implements policies, procedures, and programs on construction safety that comply with federal regulations KNPC Standards, British Standards and OHSA regulations.

Helped to ensure the organization achieved its monthly OH&S targets through the creation and implementation of best practice processes and procedures

Regularly visits construction sites to ensure implementation of the correct safety policies and procedures. Monitor the implementation of safety management system on the site pertaining to safety & occupational health. Manager to establish safety procedures prior to subcontractor’s activity on the site.

Administered the development and implementation of risk assessment methods and systems in anticipating, identifying, and evaluating hazards.

Coordinated with project client and site leadership to create and achieve short- and long-term EHS objectives, targets, strategies, and measures that prioritized and mitigated risks.

Developed and implemented safety initiatives to reduce injuries in the workplace
