CAREER OVERVIEW
For over 40 years I have enjoyed the in's and out's of the construction industry. I have served in many different capacities from framer to company owner and I have enjoyed every step of the way. I have built and sold 3 successful companies and have served as a consultant to others as well as an advisor to the National Historic Commission and the Accessible NH Commission directed by Kelly Ayott. I love what I do and despite the many years of service to the industry I still learn new things every day.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Site Superintendent
The Vertex Companies
Weymouth, MA
January 2019 to Present
I am currently the site Superintendent on a two hangar project at Pease ANG Base in Newington NH. These hangars are for the Air Forces new KC46 mid air refueling tankers and some of the largest airplanes in the world. These projects are "Surety Projects" where the original General Contractor failed in the project execution and the Vertex Companies were engaged to recover and continue to completion both projects. Each has a value of approximately 30 million dollars and the two projects overlap with one project at about the halfway point when the second project begins. These projects involve orchestrating the activeties of roughly 40 individuals, a dozen or more aerial lifts plus multiple scissor lifts, and a variety of other equipment inside the confines of a very large aircraft hangar. To say the least this job is like herding cats.
This job requires the strict adherence to all written submittals and the specifications – which are in some cases 20 years old – this is a Military facility and as such has the intricate details of US Government contracts. Daily I interface with a Senior Project Manager, a Vice President of Construction, two Project Managers, Project Engineers, Quality Control Managers and Safety and Health Officers. Osha and Military Safety requirements along with the strict adherence to security requirements. I use both Procore and Project Mate daily as well.
Superintendent
Sullivan Construction Inc.
Bedford, NH
May 2018/ Present
I serve as a full control superintendent for a Veterinary Hospital ground up construction project valued at 2.5 million. This was a fast tracked project with a December 2018 delivery date. Construction began on June 1st, 2018 and by June 19th ledge was discovered during site stripping. 25,000 yards of granite and 45 days of lost schedule later the foundation went in. The delivery date of the project was moved out by 5 days and the project was delivered on time including over 100K in extras and a minimal punch list.
Owner
NH Housewright Consulting
Dover NH 03820
Jul 2013 to Apr 2018
As a consultant to both developers and home owners I work to improve energy efficiency of both existing structures and new single family homes. I employ construction techniques not currently found in New England which produce much higher “R Values” than conventional construction and insulation. By using SIP panels and Spray Foam insulation both higher R values and reduced construction costs along with lower cost of ownership and improved insurance ratings better homes are being built. I provide design services, full construction management as well as cost estimates, bid oversight, and contract administration services. A different approach to construction management, but one that I see as a way to the future.
