PROJECTS:

Topic: “Effect of Trailing Edge Modifications on Aircraft Airframe Noise Reduction”.

Description: The goal of this project is to reduce the noise emitted by the wings by optimizing the wings. We designed and developed the wing with saw tooth serrations on the trailing edge, using CATIA. This work involves the shape optimization of the entire wing trailing edge. The serration dimensions of the wing which will effectively reduce the noise from trailing edge were predicted. Analysis was done using ANSYS, in order to analyze the total sound produced by the modified trailing edge and compare the results with a baseline wing design made by using NACA 0020.

Responsibilities: I was in charge of designing the CATIA model and the project report.

Software Used: CATIA, ANSYS.
