Client seeks to establish a National Data Warehouse (NDW) for reporting and analysis of its subscriber activity information and to receive a 360 degree view of the billing information

Role/Title:

Solution Architect (Talend and Big Data)

Project Duration:

Two years (June 2014 to June May 2016)

Responsibilities:

Used Teradata EDW and Flat files as sources and ingested to Edge Node using File Transfer tools (Flat Files), Storm (Realtime Data) and Sqoop (for Database Tables).

Created different workflows for different types of loads (Insert Only, SCD 1 and SCD 2)

oIngestion: Loading data into the HDFS using either Storm or Sqoop

oPreparation: Data cleansing and data transformation. This data is used for reporting and data analysis purpose.

oDispatch: At the end of preparation job the Dispatch Data is created to be exported to Teradata ICDW (Semantic Layer). Sqoop export used to transfer data to TD.

In a high level, created three set of jobs 1. Ingestion 2. Preparation and 3. Dispatch
