Goal:

As a part of my optional subject in Civil Services (Mains) Exam preparation earlier, I developed keen interest in Sociology. Thus I shifted from my earlier Science background to Social Sciences. Thereafter I completed M.A. in Sociology (2011-13) from IGNOU, New Delhi. Currently I am pursuing Ph.D. in Sociology from IGNOU, New Delhi, in a regular mode. I am UGC-JRF-NET qualified (2017) in Sociology. The title of my PhD is Political Participation and Social Mobility: A Comparative Study of Jat Youth in the Villages of Western UP and Haryana .Further, I look forward to contribute intensively towards Teaching and research activities in Sociology as I find this subject to play a critical role in social reconstruction in the today’s fast paced world and also to teach its finer aspects in the most comprehensive manner to the students.

NAAC Sponsored National Seminar on Academic and Admininstrative Audit: A Pre-Requisite for Quality Enhancement, held at D.A.V. College, Hoshiarpur on 30th-31st March, 2017- presented a paper titled, “Education System in India- What Lies Beneath And What Lies Ahead”.

Papers presented in National Conferences (1):

7th Chandigarh Social Sciences Congress (CHASSCONG), 2017 held at Panjab University, Chandigarh on 21st-22nd March, 2017- presented a paper titled, “Materialism and Ecological Footprint”.
