Assisted and trained clients and IBM technical personnel for multi-platforms and OEM products in a high volume/demand environment. I received service request/open tickets from clients and recorded incident related information. I provided recommended updates to knowledge-based systems and maintenance packages, also provided hardware or software technical support assistance to clients and IBM personnel in multi-vendor, multi-protocol networks/systems in the high availability product environment. While utilizing my professional knowledge and problem determination skills, I was able to resolve the problem sources by identifying issues involving hardware, microcode, operating systems, application programs, and network issues. I was responsible for on-site installation, maintenance and repair of IBM and multi-vendor systems and components, including hardware, networking products, software and operating systems. My primary technical interface was with IBM clients for the coordination of hardware and/or software support and delivery of operational services as required by the client. I would proactively advise clients of preventive maintenance, configuration, operation and environmental factors which could have impacted their product performance or impair the client's IT operation.
