Government Medical College Thiruvananthapuram is the first medical college in Kerala founded in the year 1951. The Department of Forensic Medicine in the College is designated as the State medico-legal institute. It is a Department which has a case load of 3500 autopsies per year. We also handle other medico legal works like age estimation, preparing wound certificates and examination of victims and accused of sexual offence.
In my 3 years of Post Graduate training I was actively involved in taking classes for undergraduate students, I have also done more than 600 autopsies and taken part in other medico legal works in the department. I was also actively involved in the research works in the department.

Joined Post graduation in Forensic Medicine in State Medico legal Institute in 2015. After getting selected through the Post Graduate entrance exam conducted by the Kerala Government. I completed it in 2018 June. I have been awarded the degree from Kerala University Of Health Sciences.
ACTIVITIES
Thesis -'Histopathological Changes in skin and subcutaneous tissue at ligature site in cases of death due to hanging and strangulation' was approved by the Kerala University of Health Sciences. Presented the same case at SIMLA conference 2018 held in Thiruvanathapuram.
Presented paper on 'A case of death due to pancreatitis' in the SIMLA conference 2016 held in Manglore.
