Iam a highly competent Administrator/Human Resource Officer with over ten (10) years’ experience of working in a busy organizational setting with capability of working both independently and collaboratively with a wider team of Personal Assistants, Secretaries and Administrative staff. With a first degree in Secretarial Studies (MUK – University, Kampala) coupled with a PGD in Human Resource Management(UMI – Kampala) and later a MA – Development Studies (UMU, Nkozi); In addition, I undertook a Personal Assistants course from Mananga Centre for Regional Integration & Management Development (Swaziland) which qualifications have further built my capacity.

Human Resources & Administration Officer TASO – Grants Management Unit

Key Responsibilities & accomplishments

I track vehicle related costs including monitoring of repairs and maintenance schedules, fuel usage, registration and insurance.

Perform daily vehicle allocation to drivers and institute proper controls over the use of vehicles and ensure that vehicle logbooks are maintained and updated with mileage details.

I prepare monthly fuel usage and maintenance reports for all the Global Fund vehicles and submit them to the Finance Officer for review.

In liaison with the M&E, Programme and Finance staff, I prepare monthly field travel plans and schedules.

Perform other administrative tasks including: identification and negotiation of best rates for hotel, meeting and training venues, coordinate routine or adhoc programme staff meetings; take minutes and ensure timely distribution of minutes.

I ensure that expandable items like stationery and other office supplies are maintained at acceptable stock levels at all times.

Coordinate correspondences in and out of the project and other official documents

Oversee safety and hygiene of Project property and premises

Participate in compiling annual budgets in accordance with the financial guidelines

Coordinate staff appraisals, leave and trainings in addition to managing staff leave schedules.

Maintain the fixed assets register for both PR & SRs and ensure that all movements are duly recorded and that the register is updated in a timely manner.

Maintain up to date personnel files for all staff on the Global Fund Project. I ensure that all personal files include copies of CVs, academic transcripts, employment contracts, performance appraisals, records of salary reviews and increments, annual and sick leave records, among others.

Support all the Projects’ staff recruitment processes through preparation of interview materials, packages for staff conducting interviews (including photocopying all application materials for short listed applicants, printing copies of interview-rating guides to each interviewer, etc.

Process staff annual and sick leave requests and prepare monthly reports and submit them to the Project Coordinator accordingly.

Perform a supervisory role to the drivers, Project Assistants and Office Attendant and ensure that they perform their duties in line with their contracts.
