Penn Highlands/ Ultrasound Clinical Student
Experience
July 2018 - PRESENT, Saint Marys and Brookville PA
I have recently just completed my clinical rotation at the Brookville
Hospital, and have done the previous portion at Saint Marys Hospital. I
treated my clinical as though I was truly employed which includes but is
not limited to: stocking the linens in our room, getting and returning ER
patients for the X-Ray department, pulling up patients orders and
previous scans that pertain to their current Ultrasound appointment, as
well as keeping a professional, respectful, and personable tone with all
patients and coworkers. I have also performed general ultrasound scans
with minimal supervision. I am also well aware of the HIPAA regulations
and act carefully to respect them. Im graduating on May 11th, and I
would like to get straight to work in hopes to not lose what knowledge
and muscle memory I have gained so far.
Walmart / Sales Associate
May 2016- PRESENT, Saint Marys PA
I have worked at Walmart full time over the summers and now part time
as I finish schooling. With this job I have gained experience with
customer satisfaction as well as accountability for my work. I am often
the only person working in my department so I am held accountable for
customers that need checked out or have questions during my shift as
well as restocking or straightening retail on the shelves. I have also
learned the art of keeping busy and finding something productive to do
even when it is a slow day. When I am not working alone, I feel I
communicate well with others during my shift and take direction well
from my department managers.
Mount Aloysius College / Associates
Education
Expected Graduation in May 11th, 2019, Cresson, PA
I have completed and passed all previous courses taught on Ob/Gyn, Abdominal,
and Small parts and have completed over 1400 hours clinical time. I have also
taken and passed elective Vascular classes for upper and lower extremities, and
carotids as well as practiced them all during my clinical rotation.
I have taken and passed my SPI exam recently, and now I am going to be
Awards
focusing on another specialty board (most likely Obstetric/Gynecology)
so I can hopefully have those SPI accreditation as well as one specialty
before the end of May. I am also CPR certified.
