Reporting to The PMV Manager for day to day operations related to the Plant and Transport requirements by the construction sites, the key responsibilities were as under:
Managing the execution, direction, and coordination of all the Plant & Transportation requirements by all the construction sites. This includes to ensure that machines & vehicles are safe and meet legal requirements, and making sure that drivers & Operators are aware of their duties
Maintain the maximum utilization of the Plant Assets (machines and vehicles) by minimizing the downtime (repairs) in coordination with the Garage Team, i.e. Workshop Manager and Service Manager.
To ensure that the number of plant assets (machines and vehicles) is enough to meet the requirements from all the ongoing projects, doing so by coordinating with the projects teams about plant and vehicles requirements forecast and reporting to PMV Manager if in case the purchase of new machines or vehicles required.
To make sure that all in house machines and vehicles are compliant with all legal, regulatory and contractual requirements, and where necessary escalating any identified issues and recommending resolution to the Service Manager/Assistant Service Manager.
Develop and implement a proactive, planned and structured approach to the maintenance of fleet vehicles and machines, keeping within the designated budget and ensuring all vehicles used are fit for purpose.
Ensuring Plant and Transport staff deliver the service appropriate to the changing needs of construction sites in line with relevant guidance and individual risk assessments

Attending the phone calls, related to the break downs at the sites and taking immediate actions to minimize the downtime by either repairing or replacing the equipment.

Position Logistics Coordinator – Plant & Transport Department JOB DESCRIPTION
In charge to receive the requirements for various equipment and transport vehicles from all ongoing construction sites in Abu Dhabi and to procure the required equipment and vehicles if available in plant fleet.
Coordinating with Safety Personnel and Technical team to conduct PDI
(Pre-Delivery Inspection) of the plant equipment prior to delivery in the sites and preparing the entire documentation for equipment/vehicles, operators and drivers being assigned to the construction sites.
In charge to procure the machines and transport vehicles from local suppliers in case the required equipment and vehicles are not available in plant fleet.
Arranging the quotations with suppliers and reviewing these quotations accordingly to choose the suppliers with lowest hire rates as well as the best services, at the same time reviewing the contracts from the suppliers to analyze the terms and conditions for the hire of machines and equipment.
Keeping tracked record for registrations status of entire equipment and vehicles and as a standard,one month prior to registration expiry for any equipment or vehicle, coordinating with technical/safety team to get the equipment/vehicle ready for passing in traffic department at the same time coordinating with PRO to arrange necessary documentation required for registration renewal.
Keeping updated record for safety documents of machines and operators, in case safety documents get expired, coordinating with Safety Department to arrange safety inspection by 3

and TUV SUD etc.
Coordinating with workshop supervisor to remain updated about status of various equipment which are under repair in the workshop and accordingly updating the record of in the system for Idle or under repair plant equipment and vehicles.
Coordinating with the sites logistics personnel to keep them updated about the status of their plant and transportation requirements.
Receiving the manpower reports from the sites on weekly basis to monitor the proper usage of the transport vehicles, and assigning transportation vehicles to sites depending on number of manpower.
Preparing Plant Equipment and Transport utilization report in order to monitor the allocation of the company busses to different project and analyzing how to maximize the utilization of the plant assets to reduce the usage of external hired equipment and vehicles.
Conducting monthly Tool Box meetings with the operators and drivers in order to know their problems, they may face while working at sites at the same time making them aware of safety rules and regulations and giving them the guidelines on how to keep their machines properly maintained.
Receiving calls from all projects for any breakdown in the machines or buses and coordinating with workshop supervisor to send the required mechanics, technicians & electricians for repairing the defected vehicles.
Involved into routine operational activities related to the procurement of diesel from ADNOC Distribution to the main diesel storage facility, installed at the plant yard of the company, located in Mafraq
To ensure the uninterrupted supply of diesel from main diesel storage facility to all projects within Abu Dhabi, by planning the deliveries as per the schedules given by the Logistics personnel in the projects
To ensure the inventory accuracy by doing a physical stock check on daily basis and reconciling the stock check readings with the details being encoded into the inventory book on daily basis
