Job Description

Adheres to the hospital/company policies and procedures.

Acts as a one of the team leader in the department.

Acts as a Deputy Head during the absence of our Head Nurse.

Receives newly admitted patients from emergency room and trans –in patients from other wards.

Assist new and old patients.

Orient new patients on assistance, policies, and patient education leaflets.

Checked the required documents upon request for assistance. Communicate with drug companies.

Performs VIA, breast exam and PAP smear.

Check all patients EPR/Charts for new orders, laboratory results, radiology results, and vital signs being done and recorded.

Giving medications per IV, intramuscular, and orally, and blood products by counter checking with another staff nurse.

Expert and responsible for blood extraction and cannulation as per hospital policies.

Provides professional nursing care to all patients in the in and out patients settings, protect, give health education, advice and promote health issues.

Assist the physician during examinations and treatments, and carry out his legal orders.

Monitor the patient, record and report any changes in patients’ condition.
