Headlamps

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Coordinate the launch (as a design area) for new headlamps and taillamps projects into the company

(to BMW and AUDI customers).

Receive and send Math Data from design matrix in Italy, to do draft analysis, interference analysis, modifications, design proposals, and manufacturing feasibility analysis.

3D Class A surfaces (modification) and Class B surfaces (creation and modification).

Analyze with the Quality area the feasibility of manufacturing the proposed changes before to release any change.

Update in CIM Database all changes proposed in 3D.

Ensure that Engineering changes have been applied to the T1, T2, T3 parts (pre-production parts).

Generate PP presentations and follow-up Excel reports for weekly meetings.

Support to Manufacturing area to ensure that assemblies required by the customer (production parts) will have all the components, as well as ensuring that component components with the latest changes were included within the assemblies.

Achievements:

Creation of two poka yokes to BMW headlamp Housing. With this proposal it was possible to reduce the level of scrap.

Creation of a proposal to re-direct the air intake and distribute it uniformly inside the Headlamp to BMW.
