3.I feel it is important to give back to our community. I served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce for 6 years (2009 – 2015). During this time, I raised funds and over saw the design and building of the Patio built behind the Historic Edinburg Train Depot that houses the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce.

4.At the same time, I also served on the Board of Directors, Executive Board and Endowment Board for the Gladys Porter Zoo for 8 years. For 4 of the years, I chaired the underwriting for Zoofari, and brought in $100,000 each year.
