JOB DESCRIPTION/EXPERIENCE
a. Nigerian Army: July 1983 – May 2015
I was commissioned into the Nigerian Army in 1986. I rose to the rank of Colonel before my voluntary retirement from service on 31 May 2015. My last appointment was Deputy Director Locating in charge of Administration, Training and Logistics at Headquarters, Nigerian Army Corps of Artillery, Kontagora, Niger State. While in service, l held the appointments of Troop Commander, Battery Commander and Regiment Commander of men, equipment and resources, at different levels across Nigeria. I also served as a Staff Officer Grades 1 and 2 in charge of Administration and Logistics at Brigade and Corps Headquarters levels and later as Chief Instructor in few Army Training schools. I participated in different operations/wars – ECOMOG Operations in Liberia, Sierra-Leone and Bakassi Peninsula (Nigeria). Other activities engaged in while in the service were Internal Security operations in different states, recruitment of soldiers into the Nigerian Army in Abia and Imo states and Camp Commandant for National Youth Service Corps in some states.
