Project Examples
TravelCast.me
Travel Cast is a website in which the user inputs their current location, their end location and how they are traveling. The output is approximately what city the user will be in each hour and what the weather is like at that time in that city. This was created at a hackathon with a group of about ten people. I worked on the backend in Java using Google Maps API and Dark Sky API.
Disney Zuul Game
A game created with Java in BlueJ of a child lost in Magic Kingdom that had to find their family. The player can get hints from park characters once the child gave the character an item they had lost. Once the child had all their family members, they could leave from the front of the park to win the game. It was a solo project but worked with my professor to clean up the code.
Disney Ticket Prices
This was written in R using RStudio and was a solo project. A model for predicting the ticket prices for Disney World with new expansions. I created a spreadsheet of instances/expansions Disney has had and recorded variables such as how many new rides, where it was located, if the theme had a following, unemployment rate, etc. With those variables, I created a linear model and two nonlinear models to predict the ticket price for a one-day Magic Kingdom ticket. Pointers
This was created in C++ using CLion and was an independent project. This project prompts the user to insert information to create a struct, passenger, for an airline. After the user inputs all of their info, the program uses pointers to check if the password is a palindrome.
