ATTENTION: EMPLOYERS AND RECRUITERS
My HR COMMITTMENT: Key points (45 seconds read)
1.I invest time in everything I do: As a jobseeker I only apply for 2-3 vacancies per day. This is because I research every company at great lengths each time cross referencing all the information against my own skills & experience, culture and role fit, future growth & sustainability. The outcomes of this introspection allows me to anticipate relevant areas of work I where I will be expected to add value from day one and more importantly – I can demonstrate “Why I should be hired”.
2.I am not complacent: Although I have worked across many industries over the years, what is written on my CV does not do justice to the fact that when I am engaged in any form of task – I attend to it with the vigor, energy and determination of a scholar looking to pass with a distinction. HR is a dynamic profession that stimulates me to always think outside the box because after I am done with each task I make sure I am subject matter expert in it.
3.I am an active collaborator: There is a saying that “if you want to go fast, go at it alone but if you want to go far, go at it together”. Every company is run by people and the technology we use is meant to complement and enhance processes therefore before I do anything I always make sure that I have the buy in / support of everyone that my work can impact both inside and outside the company. I am also proactive in upward communication & self management because sometimes decision makers have limited time to check if actual work is being done.
Thank you for taking the time to read this – you can look out for some interesting HR articles which I will be posting on LinkedIn and other job websites.
Kind Regards
