Most of his background is in the design and construction of various buildings (Vertical, Horizontal and G+7), industrial projects, infrastructure, Oil & Gas, Special Facility Projects for US Navy (NAVFAC) and USACE projects and Well Construction Supervision field experience and Project & Construction Management.

It is a Design-Build Contract. Kassem is responsible for Overall project supervision, to includes review structural drawings and Design preparation to ensure compliance with the RFP requirement and applicable standards, Implement Relyant Global Safety and Quality policies. Review and prepare PO and Contract Modification, perform project related correspondence and communicate to Government representatives. Overall control of the projects from the Design Phase to Construction Phase, project Value over $9 mil.

January 2018 to November 2018 SAVEWAY International Realty & Development Inc. – Philippine (VP)

Kassem is responsible of managing the company operation, Project Director and Business Development. Liaise and coordinate with clients and local Government Authorities.

November 2016 to December 2017 MEHIS International Contracting – UAE, (PM / CM)

Kassem is responsible for the execution and refurbishment of a Guest Palace package, Monitoring the G+7 construction Progress and construction of two mosques packages. Monitor and enforce company project safety policies, Schedule, Quality, construction management and administrative activities. Coordinate with different trades. Attend weekly progress meeting and Liaise with client, Consultant and local Authority.

July 2014 to November 2016 Jacobs – Oman, (CONSTRUCTION MANAGER)

It is an EPC contract. The BP Khazan project is a $16 Billion partnership between BP and the Sultanate of Oman to extract tight gas using pioneering technology under remote and challenging conditions. Initial upstream construction work began in 2014 and is expected to complete by first gas in late 2017. The first phase of the project is projected to produce approximately 7 trillion cubic feet of gas with production expected to peak in 2018. This will support the bulk of Oman’s gas supply for several decades.

Kassem is responsible for execution of construction work packages within Infrastructure packages, Camp execution, Well Pad and pipes installation execution and associated roads and permanent buildings. Monitor and enforce company project safety policies and work rules of assigned BP contractors; all construction management and administrative activities, overall building / area direction, guidance, execution, resolution and performance of subcontractors. Identify potential issues, conflicts and interferences. Liaison with interface management, engineering, project controls, Quality, environmental.

A: Project Manager (Jan 2011 to Nov 2011):

It is a PC Contract; responsible for Kick off meeting and mobilization of the contractor. Architectural and Structural design review, managing Electrical and Infrastructure Design review prior to commencement of the project, Setting up Project HSE, Execution and Quality Plan for 298 villas, 2 public parks, Mosque and a Public Recreation Centre with associated tertiary roads and utility infrastructure (Client: Marafiq Power and Water Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu KSA) Project Value over $100 mil.

B: Project Manager (Nov 2011 to Oct 2012)

It is an EPC for 48000 m3 Industrial Waste Treatment Plant (Yanbu - KSA). Project value is over than $100 Mil, (Client: Marafiq Power and Water Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu KSA). Duties include the followings but are not limited to:

C: Project & Construction Manager (Nov 2012 to July 2013)

It is an EPC contract for the modification of an existing building and an installation of an 80 m3/hr experimental Reverse Osmosis Plant (RO). Duties Involved managing the contractor, Review Architectural and Structural Drawings and implement safety procedures, coordinate and liaise with multiple sub-contractors for different disciplines, preparation of weekly and monthly reports and supervise the execution of all activities of the project. Project value is over $25 Mil, (client: Dow Chemical KUST-KSA).

D: Project Manager (August 2013 to July 2014)

It is a GES+, Forensic Services and PMSS contract for the modification and upgrading of over 2000 villas, existing buildings and design and supervision of new 400 units. Duties Involved managing the contractor, Review Architectural and Structural Drawings and implement safety procedures, coordinate and liaise with contractors and client, preparation of weekly and monthly reports and monitor the execution of all activities of the projects at site. Project value is over $2Bln., (client: Saudi Aramco – KAUST-KSA).

August 2007 to Dec 2010 JACOBS International Holding Inc-UAE, PROJECT MANAGER,

A: Project Manager: for special projects and representative for US Navy (NAVFAC) projects in the UAE. Completed project value is in excess of $100,000,000.00. Managing all aspects of final Handing over Snag Reports for Phase I. Responsible for all aspects of the Construction Management of Phase II and Phase III projects to includes Quality Assurance/Quality Control, Supervise and manages the final execution of the projects. Design reviews, infrastructures, value engineering, co-ordination with Municipalities and local authorities, supervision of design and construction projects from design conception to completion. Final Inspection Punch Lists, and monitor final completion and handing over the projects. Management of projects scope issues, risks, communications, QA, QC, and safety plans and procedures; assists in the Master Plan design of 40 Acers land.

B: Project Manager: The project consists of 200 rooms 4 Star hotel, 80 furnished apartments, 3 levels shopping Mall and 2 levels underground car park. Responsibilities involved in managing the design review of all disciplines, Liaise and coordinate with client, consultant, sub consultants, municipality and contractor.
