July 2014 to November 2016 Jacobs – Oman, (CONSTRUCTION MANAGER)
It is an EPC contract. The BP Khazan project is a $16 Billion partnership between BP and the Sultanate of Oman to extract tight gas using pioneering technology under remote and challenging conditions. Initial upstream construction work began in 2014 and is expected to complete by first gas in late 2017. The first phase of the project is projected to produce approximately 7 trillion cubic feet of gas with production expected to peak in 2018. This will support the bulk of Oman’s gas supply for several decades.
Kassem is responsible for execution of construction work packages within Infrastructure packages, Camp execution, Well Pad and pipes installation execution and associated roads and permanent buildings. Monitor and enforce company project safety policies and work rules of assigned BP contractors; all construction management and administrative activities, overall building / area direction, guidance, execution, resolution and performance of subcontractors. Identify potential issues, conflicts and interferences. Liaison with interface management, engineering, project controls, Quality, environmental.

Duties Involved managing the contractor, Review Architectural and Structural Drawings and implement safety procedures, coordinate and liaise with multiple sub-contractors for different disciplines, preparation of weekly and monthly reports and supervise the execution of all activities of the project. Project value is over $25 Mil, (client: Dow Chemical KUST-KSA).
D: Project Manager (August 2013 to July 2014)
It is a GES+, Forensic Services and PMSS contract for the modification and upgrading of over 2000 villas, existing buildings and design and supervision of new 400 units. Duties Involved managing the contractor, Review Architectural and Structural Drawings and implement safety procedures, coordinate and liaise with contractors and client, preparation of weekly and monthly reports and monitor the execution of all activities of the projects at site. Project value is over $2Bln., (client: Saudi Aramco – KAUST-KSA).

A: Project Manager: for special projects and representative for US Navy (NAVFAC) projects in the UAE. Completed project value is in excess of $100,000,000.00. Managing all aspects of final Handing over Snag Reports for Phase I. Responsible for all aspects of the Construction Management of Phase II and Phase III projects to includes Quality Assurance/Quality Control, Supervise and manages the final execution of the projects.
