JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor HSE controllers in executing continuous audits.

Manage the HSE controllers and coordinate their audit schedule

Report and assists the Project Manager in the overall implementation of approved Project Safety/Loss Prevention Program

Performs continuous monitoring of safety at work site to ensure continuing conformance of field work force with all relevant safety, health, environment and security requirements/programs

Develops specific to project training materials to enhance safety awareness, education, and competency of the employees.

Assists the Safety Manager in overall planning of safety activities in the project, logistical support to construction, record keeping based on clients and International Safety standard

Conducts accident, incident investigation and reporting, safety training and toolbox/safety meeting.

Carrying out examinations of machinery, working environments and structures, taking measurements of noise, heat, and vibrations, and taking photographs and samples where necessary;

Visiting premises to inspect processes and procedures and ensure good health and safety practice;

Investigating accidents and complaints and determining if there has been a breach of health and safety law;

Ensuring workers are provided with suitable protective equipment, such as eye goggles, ear protectors or appropriate types of gloves and clothing;

Investigating procedures for working in hazardous environments or with potentially harmful substances;

Keeping up to date with new legislation and health and safety standards;

Providing training and educational support to employers and new/trainee employees.

Review and analyze accidents and near miss incidents and making corrective action recommendations;

Ensure regular emergency response exercises and drills are conducted to ensure the

highest level of preparedness in any emergency.

Maintains records of such drills, providing recommendations for emergency response improvements;

Supervises the regular inspection of firefighting, safety and emergency response equipment.

Assist in developing and implementing field location emergency response procedures and evacuation plans

Ensure that operations employees, contractors and site visitors receive HSE inductions

Responsible for preparing written weekly and monthly HSE reports, statistics and

presentations related to HSE performance
