Performed 4 years of data entry using Microsoft Excel, while completing Bachelor’s degree at Queen’s University. Typing test results determined up to 68 WPM (17000 KPH/SPH) can be typed continuously (alphanumeric characters) for 25 to 30 minutes, with a slight reduction in speed when continuously typing past this timeframe. Office administration skills were gained at Queen’s by printing, photocopying, scanning, and faxing. E-mail correspondence was routinely performed at Queen’s (i.e. the reading and writing of, oftentimes, very thorough e-mails) when communicating with faculty and faculty staff.

Customer Service and Complaint Resolution

Exceeded company expectations by following a script and rebuttal system with in-person and telephone customers. 8 sales were made, on average, per day. Customers with complaints, or irate customers, were responded to with class and patience. Utilized up-selling techniques to go above and beyond the basic sale.

Mathematics and Numeracy

Performed strongly in undergraduate math classes, developing the ability to perform quick numerical calculations. Also made progress in problem-solving, and in particular, problems that are objective versus subjective. Understands fundamental accounting and financial principles.

Solar Brokers Canada – Customer Service Representative

●Sold solar panels for house roofs by engaging customers at an interactive display set up at the front of Lowe’s. Temporary work.

●Explained whether solar panels would be an ideal choice for a customer, based on their home address.

●Leads were generated from the Lowe’s store, and were then contacted by an in-house agent to complete the sale.


TutorBright Durham – Administrative Assistant

●Managed tutors, invoices, newsletters, and in-home assessments, and tutored students in a multitude of subjects from grades 1-12.

●Invoicing and tutor payroll involved the use of MS Excel, including collecting and analyzing pertinent data.
