Direct all large loss construction efforts outside the state of California. Duties included the review and approval of all project scopes, schedules, ROMs, estimates, and contracts where the project value exceeded $500,000.00.

Independent Consultant October 2017 to April 2018

Retained by a private equity firm to create a management plan and lead recovery efforts for 3 hotel properties in Florida totaling $38 million damaged during Hurricane Matthew. Established scope, cause, and origin at each site. Installed site PM teams to manage projects and competitively bid remediation and construction. Provided overall project scope, budget, and schedule, and aligned insurer reporting with scope requirements. In addition, prepared PIP upgrade SOW for the most heavily damaged property and cost feasibility study.

Hurricane Harvey, Aransas County, TX: Led recovery efforts for three school districts and two counties covering 87 sites and 388 buildings. Staff under direct management included 70 plus site project managers, a 20-person team of architects and engineers and over 1,000 field personnel.

Waldorf Astoria Boulders Resort, Carefree, AZ: Complete remediation and reconstruction services, totaling $6.8 million, for the resort following a monsoonal flood event.

Eye Physicians of Austin: Mixed-use inner-city re-development including retail, medical office, and restaurant use. Scope of project included rezoning/platting of commercial and residential lots to combined commercial use. Project development plan included maintaining existing medical office use during construction of new building and site improvements.

Bench Tree Group: Site development and construction management of 90,000 SF tilt wall manufacturing facility and separate research facility for oil field directional tool manufacturer.

Amsted Rail – Griffin Wheel, Winnipeg, MB, CA: Led fire damage reconstruction of building structure, electric arc furnaces, engineering design services, industrial equipment, 38 overhead cranes, and process water systems throughout the 480,000 SF facility following a major fire event, completing $58 million of remediation and reconstruction to return the facility to partial operation in two months and full production in three months with significant improvement in plant efficiency and major reductions in product rejection.

Four Seasons Las Colinas, Irving, TX: Complete remediation and reconstruction services, totaling $9.25 million, following multiple flood events affecting all site facilities.

Hyatt Regency Waikiki, Honolulu, HI: Complete remediation and reconstruction services for the resort property, totaling $13.8 million, following two separate major flood events affecting multiple areas of this 1240 room resort property.

Hilton Grand Islander, Honolulu, HI: Mitigation and remediation services of 36 story condo tower while under construction as a result of a tropical storm event.

The Claremont: Site development and construction of 160 room assisted living facility.

Embassy Suites Boca Raton, FL: Complete hotel mold remediation and renovations, totaling $13 million, including major chilled water component replacement.

Lake Austin Financial Plaza: New construction of 160,000 SF office building and 240,000 SF below grade parking structure.

801 Congress: Historical renovation of the original office of the President of the Republic of Texas.

Crowne Plaza Melbourne: Managed remediation and reconstruction, including PIP upgrades, totaling $25 million.

Parque Titanium Towers, Santiago, Chile: Provided estimating services and insurer negotiations for emergency response and reconstruction of three 28 story office towers and 1.8 million SF of below parking structure as a result of a flood event.

Strasburger & Price: 45,000 SF interior finish out for prominent national law firm.

Retail Development: Managed due diligence, site acquisitions, permitting, and shell and leasehold construction for national developer of three retail sites between 40,000 – 160,000 SF.
