Job Description:

As Regulatory Compliance Associate for HSE

• Monitors the implementation of HSE program of the company, compliant to all applicable HSE/OHS Laws & Regulations and other requirements that ensure the health, safety and sound environment of all EKPI employees and the whole facility.

• Coordinates and works with government agencies and regulatory bodies in adhering to their requirements and complying with its laws and regulations- including the facilitation of permits, submission of reports, and assisting in audits/inspection of the facility.

• Maintains an up-to-date register of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, legal papers, and list of requirements/permits to facilitate and ensure compliance of the company to such; and disseminates the same to employees through training and information updates.

• Act as member of the Health, Safety & Environment Committee.

• Ensures alignment of waste management and disposal procedures with current Environmental Laws and Regulations of government bodies like LLDA, DENR, DOH, etc.

• Support waste minimization initiatives and in energy & resources use optimization projects.

• Works with service providers engaged by EKPI in complying with the HSE policies, procedures of the company and applicable laws and regulations of the government.

• Document applicable SOPs related to HSE

• Act as auditee for matters related to HSE

• Act as Trainor for modules related to HSE

• Supports HSE Supervisor in the conduct of hazard identification & risk analysis both for safety and environmental aspects.

• Conducts regular occupational health, safety & environment inspection; recommends and monitor appropriate corrective actions to address internal and external audit findings to ensure potential safety issues and environmental incidences are eliminated.

• Initiates proactive measures to prevent accidents and incidents by instituting and sustaining HSE training program for employees.

• Conducts regular drills on fire, earthquake safety, spill control, and emergency preparedness.

• Assists in any quality development activities focusing on regulatory compliance such as audits, quality management reviews, and trainings.

• Maintains a good system/procedure of accident & incident investigation, ensuring accurate & timely documentation and closure or eventual correction & prevention of the causes.

• Ensures efficient safekeeping of records of incidents and accidents in the facility, and institutes tracking of incidents for monitoring, information and education.

• Business Permits and Licenses – Ensures the site is in compliance with all applicable Licenses, Certificates and Permits and other regulatory requirements relating to Occupational Health, Environment and Safety. Represents the company in any Government License and Certificate audit compliance or inspection relative to Safety and Environment.

• Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manual – Maintains an Employee HSE Manual on Safety, Health and Environment, and initiates updates as necessary.

• Corporate Programs – Represents EKPI on any forums or meetings on HSE programs/activities sponsored by business partners, NGOs, and government agencies where knowledge through interaction or sharing of best practices can be gained. As Food Security & Defense Team Member

• Helps the team leader to ensure effective implementation of the program.
