Summary

I have been working with RPG and JD Edwards World software my entire carrer. I have 20+ years of creating and modifying most of the JDE modules (Distribution, Manufacturing, Inventory, S/O, P/O, G/L, A/R, A/P, F/A, EDI, Advance Pricing). I was an employee and senior technical consultant for JDE for over five years and have extensive training and hands on expertise. I have a proven track record for being ahead of schedule and below budget with an emphasis of getting it right the first time.

Since 2003 I have also been writing programs using .Net

Programming Languages: JDE Enterprise One, RPGIII, RPGIV, RPG ILE, CLP, Cold Fusion, JavaScript, Visual Basic, C#.

Distribution

With 20+ years experience modifying and using the distribution system I have made complex and simple modifications through out the module. Which include but not limited to:

Advance Pricing including getting and feedng external pricing. S/O P4211 processing additional fields through the user index, splitting G/L entries for items with select criteria. Simple and complex changes to IT-Inventory Transfers (P4113).

Manufacturing

With RJ Reynolds I was responsible for all modications through out the implementation and world wide roll-out.

Electrolux manufactures redrigarators at this plant. Another programmer and I created a

complete production line replenishment system. Part of the process was to read all of

the work orders that were scheduled to be produced based on the production line

schedule. Then the program had to read the bill of material and determine if the

component quantity was available. If the item was available at the production line (ie.

The place in the line where it was needed,) then check the next component in the bill. If

not then check and identify if it’s available in transit, in a stageing location or elsewhere

in the warehouse. If the quantity was available check the next component else, write to

the shortage report.

Modify all the scrap programs to allow scrapping down to the production line level. The

user would enter the item and location on the line where it was scrapped. The program

had read all the item components down to the level entered creating G/L cost entries for

each component,

Programming was in RPG, RPGLE, RPG SQL.

Archive old legacy data and reports. This entailed converting and migrating databases to MS SQL. Identified, ran and migrated all reports and converted them to PDF format in SharePoint. The reports could be easily retrieved with SharePoint & FAST search. The database is accessible by a query tool wrote in C#. Also wrote RPG, Progress and C# programs to automate and verify most of the processes.
