Duties & Responsibilities:

Preparation and Implementation of HSE Plan and procedures by coordinating with the line management.

Conduct daily site inspection to ensure that safe work methods are implemented; welfare and first aid facilities are adequate and properly maintained as per client’s requirements.

Strictly implement the Work Permit procedure prior to start any activity.

Participating HSE meetings and special meeting with Subcontractors to discuss the safety issues and maintain the records of HSE issues.

Prepare & Organize Task Risk assessment Meetings for every activity in coordination with respective engineers and supervisors.

Conduct periodic inspection and ensure inspection sticker for heavy equipment and plant equipment before entering into site and ensure that they are safe for use.

Conducting Investigation for all incident/accident, HiPo near miss/near misses to prevent the reoccurrence the same.

Preparation of near miss/accident reports and communicates the reports to the concerned parties.

Conduct periodic inspection in all equipment & power tools and strictly implement the color-coding system.

Organizing emergency drill to ensure effectiveness of Emergency response procedure.

Conduct site HSE inspection for all activities before signing the work permit.

Conducting safety audit in order to find out unsafe Acts/ Conditions and initiate corrective actions to overcome unsafe conditions.

Carry out joint safety walkthrough with permit issuers and Sub contractor personnel and ensuring all the corrective/preventive actions are closed out.

Organizing weekly site safety meeting and special meeting with discipline engineers to discuss the safety issues & maintain the records of HSE issues.

Organize tool-box meetings at workforce and arrange training for competent persons if necessary.

Conducts site inspections to ensure compliance with safety measures and the scope of project HSE plan.

Organize campaigns, Special trainings and other special events in order to promote HSE in work place and there by develop safety as culture

Enforce safety related work rules and take action to ensure compliance in alignment with established disciplinary policies.

Ensure Waste Management, storage, handling & safe disposal of any waste from site.

Carry out site surveys to see that only safe work methods are in operation that health and safety requirements are being observed.

Provide written instructions to establish work procedure, explain the sequence of operations, outline potential hazards and indicate the precautions to be adopted.

Conduct weekly focus inspection walkthrough with Permit Issuer and Subcontractor personnel to find the hazard in specific activity and closed out all the observation.

Conduct safety inspection at all vehicle & equipment to ensure that they are in good running condition and safe for use.

Organize special Tool Box Talk about HiPo/Nearmiss/Major concerns to create awareness among the employees.

Supervising closely where hazardous permitted work is taken place & ensure that all work activities are ceased in the event of breach of or non-implementation PTW.

Coordinate Internal HSE training programs, initiate drive to promote HSE Awareness and performance

Conduct ongoing assessments of the work areas and take necessary corrective actions to eliminate substandard practices, conditions and/or behaviors.

Implementing Safety practices during Radiography and Hydro Testing activities.

Organizing training on Hydrogen Sulphide and breathing apparatus as per requirement.

Conducting Advanced Safety Audit in order to find out unsafe Acts/ Conditions and initiate corrective actions to overcome unsafe conditions.

Providing a safe and healthy working environment for all personnel at site. Conducting weekly assessments to monitor compliance with Health & Safety requirements.

Encouraging the workers by conducting various activities such as safety man of the month and Spot award and other incentives.

Monitor selection, use and care of PPE and other safety equipments and educate to the work force on the use and care of the above items.

Bring an overall awareness among all level of workmen about HSE through safety talks, meetings, displaying safety posters, slogans & bulletins.

Coordinate to the concern personnel for any safety deficiency on the areas, prepare reports and target plans.

Tecnicas Reunidas has achieved 70 Million Safe Man Hours without any LIT during Al Zour New refinery construction project, Kuwait.

Kharafi National (Fire & Gas Detection systems) has achieved 95% in Internal Safety Audit conducted by KN audit Team.

Kharafi National (Scaffolding & Painting Services) has achieved Winner Up in HSE Rolling Trophy from KNPC for the year 2014-2015 in KNPC Mina Abdulla refinery.

Kharafi National (Scaffolding & Painting Services) has achieved Runner Up in HSE Rolling Trophy from KNPC for the year 2013-2014 in KNPC Mina Al Ahmadi refinery.

Kharafi National (Scaffolding & Painting Services) has achieved 96% in the Internal HSE Audit conducted by Corporate HSE Manager for the year 2015.

Kharafi National (Scaffolding & Painting Services) has achieved 5 Million Safe Man Hours without any LIT.

Hyundai Heavy Industries has achieved 14 Million Safe Man Hours without any LIT during the IGD Das Island project, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Samsung Engineering has achieved 3 Million Safe Man Hours without any LIT during the Delayed Coker Unit construction project at Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

Samsung Engineering has achieved first place in Saudi Aramco (SATORP) monthly Project Safety Index (PSI) audit for 7 out of 10 times for the year 2010.
