§ Reviewed medical documentation on the behalf of the 3 Disability Service Specialists to determine students overall academic strengths, weakness, appropriate accommodations, and suggested study strategies before the initial intake meeting is scheduled.
§ Observed each Disability Service Specialist during intake meetings to learn how to properly conduct in-person student meetings, in order to get a better understanding of the student’s barriers and to determine appropriate accommodations for their academic career.
§ Participated and observed case review meetings with all of the Disability Service Specialist and Testing Coordinator to understand the office procedures to determine appropriate accommodations and provide better testing accommodations to students with disabilities.
§ Collected assistive software program information on 10 testing computer for inventory by utilizing Microsoft Excel on the behalf of the Coordinator of Disability Services, in order to document and determine what computers need software updates.

§ Independently managed the Disability Services office at the UConn Waterbury campus to provide consistent service and information to students about how to start the registration process to obtain academic accommodations for the semester.
§ Counseled a caseload of 45 students with disabilities to determine appropriate academic accommodations at the UConn Waterbury campus to ensure that each student has equal access and opportunities throughout their academic environment.
§ Engaged in a three step intake process: student interview, history, and documentation review to gain a comprehensive knowledge about student’s health condition and potential academic barriers, in order to develop an individualized plan and successfully funnel the student through the centers registration process and obtain accommodations for the academic year.

Informing the appropriate University officials about the at-risk student, so that the individual can be contacted about on and off campus health resources and support that may be available or can help relieve the situation at hand.
§ Served as a liaison for students with disabilities by providing consultation to faculty, staff, and administration regarding accommodations, compliance, and legal responsibilities within each academic and classroom environment.
§ Monitored the academic progress of at-risk students by utilizing PeopleSoft and evaluate the effectiveness of the accommodations that are provided through phone, walk-in, and in-person meeting with students and faculty.
