MINI PROJECT:
Done mini-project on AQUEDUCT and SIPHON-AQUEDUCT by creating model.
1.Aqueduct is a structure constructed, when the HFL(Higher Flood Level) of the drain is sufficiently below the bottom of the canal bed.
2.The water flows from upstream to downstream under gravity.
3.In this the canal water is carried across the drainage in a trough supported on piers.
4.It is provided when the sufficient level difference is available between the canal and natural drain.
5.Siphon Aqueduct is a structure constructed, when the HFL(Higher Flood Level) is much higher above the canal bed.
6.In Siphon aqueduct, water flows under siphonic action(Hydro-static pressure).
7.In this aqueduct, the floor of the drain is depressed downwards by constructing a vertical drop weir.
8.Finally, the purpose of aqueduct and Siphon aqueduct is to carry canal water to people without mixing with drainage water.
ACADEMIC PROJECT:
Static and Dynamic analysis of G+3 building by using STAAD.pro.
1.Static Analysis means analyzing the structure like calculating stresses, strains, deflection, displacements, etc., when the structure is at rest.
2.Static analysis involves the analysis of structure without consideration of forces.
3.Dynamic Analysis means analyzing the structure when it is in motion.
4.Dynamic analysis involves the analysis of structure with consideration of forces.
5.Static load include self weight of the structure, etc.,whereas Dynamic load include wind load, earthquake load, etc.
6.Dynamic analysis for simple structures can be carried out manually, but for complex structures finite element analysis can be used to calculate the mode shapes and frequencies.
