Senior Specialist, Trade Compliance

Manage and oversee L3Harris Mission Network (MN) Trade Compliance Operations.

Manage and oversee L3Harris’ North Amityville Trade Compliance Operations.

Travel up to 25 percent to North Amityville facility to conduct compliance oversight.

Ensure that North Amityville and MN operations adheres to all U.S. export regulations, such as Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and U.S. Customs.

Work closely with Business Development, Program Management, Legal, Contracts, Security, Finance, Human Resources, IT, Supply Chain, and Shipping Operations.

Participate in pre-planning meetings with BD and PM to provide export compliance guidance.

Participate in BD or PM meetings with USG officials or officials from foreign companies.

Approve transfer of export controlled information on the L3Harris Export Control Transfer Site.

Provide import clearance instruction to L3Harris’ freight forwarders.

Screen for Denied Parties and Anti-Boycott practices by foreign companies by utilizing the Watch List database.

Approve shipping requests from Shipping Operations.

Provide classification of EECN and ITAR items and provide HTS and Schedule B codes.

Conduct training on export compliance matters and on how to submit a license application on OCR EASE.

Prepare White Paper on the foreign disclosure process.
