CARE India Solutions for Sustainable Development - HR Officer – July 2018 Onwards CARE is a not-for-profit organization working in India for over 65 years, focusing on alleviating poverty and social injustice. My responsibilities at CARE India involve providing HR support to the Bihar Technical Support Program which is currently 1500 people strong and aid transition towards a sustainable, effective and efficient HR delivery Framework working under the guidance of Director HR & OD. The primary deliverables entrusted to me include Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding, Policy implementation, HRMIS management as well as PMS facilitation. Some Key highlights of my tenure: -
Lead recruiter for the selection & onboarding of more than 1300 incumbents over a period of 5 months.
Roll out of software & mobile app-based time and attendance mechanism to aid life cycle
As the first HR person onboarded during a tough transition phase for the BTSP program, involved in key strategic and operational decision-making process under the Director HR’s guidance.
Establishing systems for gathering, retrieving and analysis of data on a broad range of HR functions including employee screening, recruitment, training and performance management under the guidance of the Director HR

Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) – HR & Administrations Officer- Jan 2015 - 30th Mar 2018 Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) is a non-denominational, non-government development organization. AKRSP(I) works as a catalyst for the betterment of rural communities by providing direct support to local communities. AKRSP(I) is active in over 2400 villages of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. My responsibilities include managing Human Resource life cycle for Bihar staff. I was also responsible and lead Administrative department with the help of Regional manager for Bihar.
Some Key highlights of my tenure: -
Single point of contact for all HR & Administrative interventions in the state of Bihar, managing the life cycle for 150 full time employees in addition to around 500 consultants, field workers & volunteers with 3 direct reportees
Only recruiter entrusted with hiring, selection, onboarding and induction of 60 niche positions within a months’ time.
Lone resource handling payroll process for all part time/full time employees and volunteers.
Custodian of the HR budget entrusted with planning, spending and reporting of approved HR budget in Bihar.
Initiator of the POSH committee while acting as the Subject Matter Expert in the state of Bihar.
Entrusted to set up office infrastructure in 5 blocks across 2 districts within a months’ time to aid program ramp-up
