Banking Risk Management

Responsible for ensuring the Bank maintains an adequate and effective Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program thus ensuring the Bank is in full compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies, procedures, and processes. Plan, organize and implements new Basel accords requirements.

Accountable for promoting risk and regulatory compliance by identifying, quantifying, reviewing, evaluating, and measuring risk to ensure that all risk categories are identified and managed in accordance with regulatory compliance and audit requirements, approved risk tolerance, risk demand and strategic plans approved by the Board of Directors.

Works closely with the Bank's Chief Compliance Officer, legal counsel, and various branches and departments in identifying, defining, and remediating various risk-related issues in attaining established compliance goals as directed by the Board of Directors and Senior Management.

Works with Relationship Managers, Credit Product Officers, Credit Managers, and Credit Administrators, across the lines of business to test scorecards, collect feedback, identify improvements, measure effectiveness, and roll out changes.

Deposit and Credit Compliance

Ensure that the Bank maintains an Enterprise -Level Complaint Monitoring/resolution tracking system.

Develop and maintain Compliance Management System (CMS) Documentation for the Bank in conjunction with the Credit and Deposit compliance officers.

Information Security and Disaster Preparedness

Oversee the execution and reporting of the annual corporate information security program, and participate in disaster response as a member of the Incident Response Team.

Provide oversight of automated risk management tools for vendor management program and IT risk assessment.

Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Compliance

Supervise and provides direction, support, and appropriate training to the Bank’s Security & BSA Officer.

Ensure that all board policies are currently assigned, calendared, updated as required, and submitted.

Banking Risk Analyst

Responsible for evaluating the risk in portfolio decisions, forecasting potential losses, and deciding how to curb potential losses and volatility using diversification, and other investment decisions.

Analyze, measure, and monitor assets risks such risks include but are not limited to (market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, accumulation risk, etc).

Responsible for risk assessment procedures, including trigger tracking, verification of credit analysis and portfolio management action.

Work with related group entities to arrive at coherent risk management processes and exchanging information to improve the overall framework.

Provide independent research, as well as gather externally provided research to provide strategic and tactical input into the investment management process and to forestall impending risks.

Identify evolving risk themes and their impact on investments across individual names, sectors and asset classes.

Work with credit research to execute credit surveillance process. Conduct surveillance of idiosyncratic risks for credit-sensitive securities and other bank portfolios.

Administered formal research on debt issuers to ascertain a credit profile and gauge the willingness and ability for debt repayment. Work closely with quantitative research to increase functionalities of risk analytics system.
