Job Description – Quantity surveyor

Prepare preliminary estimates for proposed projects based on client’s brief.

Preparation of commercial proposals for all proposed projects.

Preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ.) for projects.

Estimate project costs based on bills of quantities / materials, projects specifications and other key inputs in determining the most realistic cost estimate.

Prepare budget estimates and profitability on proposed and newly acquired projects.

Carry out site visit for proposed and on-going projects for physical site assessment and preparation of periodic valuations and project performance.

Prepare progress valuation for on-going projects for the purpose of invoicing.

Prepare valuation of works done by sub-contractors for the purpose of payment.

Liaise with Materials Department to update materials database and keep records of it.

Carry out any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by Commercial Manager/Project Manager.
