Summary: I have worked in accounting for over 15 years with some marketing, human resources, and customer service responsibilities. I have successfully adapted skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, marketing, and office management prior to being employed with Niagara. During my time with Niagara I have worked in Accounting, Consumer Affairs with some legal responsibilities, Sourcing/Procurement, Project Life Management, Economic Development departments. Duties:

Responsible for finding, verifying and maintaining economic data and statistics to be used by the Economic Development Team.

Generate, assemble and analyze facts and studies to investigate business and economic trends impacting existing plant communities and identify strategies that will keep Niagara operating successfully within those said communities as exemplified via a successful business retention and expansion program.

Proactive in identifying opportunities for growth and value-added benefit; including the negotiation of incentives for all existing plant expansions.

Responsible for all incentive compliance and reporting:

Responsible for the creation of strategies to ensure compliance on incentives which directly offset business start-up and ongoing operations costs.

When Niagara is out of compliance the position requires the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of options to ensure the company receives some benefit and avoid default and/or claw back provisions.

Required to make recommendations for successful resolution. Research of all options and the presentation of the best option is the responsibility of this individual. On a day-to-day basis, the position has sole discretion and responsibility for interfacing with outside customers and for keeping the company in compliance.

Work closely with elected officials, department staff, regional economic agencies, non-profits and other community partners to ensure that Niagara not only captures all negotiated incentives, but that the company stays in compliance with all executed agreements—even after the term of the incentive has expired if there are ongoing monitoring/auditing requirements.

Prepare and ensure the preparation of proper documentation, affidavits, reports, files, etc. for third-party audits. Audits may occur at both Corporate and the respective plant(s).

Assist with public communications and relations when appropriate, including updating the Splash tabs (Economic Development, Community Initiatives and Government Relations) on the company’s Intranet, and the creation of ads for communities and special promotions.

Uploads pictures and writes content and maintains the Economic Development tab (which includes both Community Initiatives and Government Relations) on Splash

Serve as a liaison between Niagara, elected officials and governmental partners for the communication of community deliverables (ties to Community Initiatives & the Communiqué) & special projects as assigned.

Travel a minimum of 50% of time to all existing plant locations and potential locations

Travel to communities to represent Niagara, attend community initiatives, internal meetings offsite from Corp., external meetings with government leaders, etc.

Process funds requests for Community Initiatives (upon approval of Manager)

Assists with due diligence follow-up and Assists with Expansion due diligence follow-up

Travel to printers for pressruns with customers or in place of customer for approval of color matching. Address problems with colors if not matching and resolve if possible.
