Compaq Corporation on the Compaq Engineering Team (CET) contracting 01/2001 to 12/2005

Traveling to various job sites providing IT services for Compaq’s client companies such as American Express were converting the Novell/Windows Network from Token Ring to Ethernet implementing and configuring a 2500 and 3600 Series Cisco Router and Cisco Content & Cache Engine 507 for firewall and security intrusion detection. Added three 3500 Series Cisco Catalyst Switches XL, one APC Master Power Console, and APC Step-Down Transformer to the newly installed Ethernet Network. Pitney Bowes there the task was to gauge the networks performance then upgrade forty Dell, Compaq, and IBM laptops and twelve Gateway and Hewlett Packard desktops from Windows NT to Windows XP along with reconfiguring their Servers, Lotus Notes, and the Active Directory, optimizing the networks full potential. Lockheed Martin were myself an one subordinate technician superbly installed four floor model Dell Rack Servers (PE6300/6400), two Controllers (PE2450), one Switch (Net Gear Fast Ethernet), one PDU, two UPS, and a 130 DT Tape Drive. Afterwards testing, monitoring, and performing security analysis eliminating vulnerability to hackers and unauthorized users. Compaq Computers Corporation migrating numerous servers and desktops from Windows NT 4.0 to Windows 2003 Professional/Server.

Completed software, memory, and hard drive upgrades, along with TCP/IP configurations to laptops allowing optimal performance with added Lotus Notes and Citrix Software configurations to allow employees Remote Access from home. Defense Security Assistance Center installing fifty-one zip drives in new Dell Pentium IV’s solo (one-day assignment). Utilized Ghost Imaging to create hardware profiles on new PC’s. Health Care Finance Administration tasks to design, install/implement, evaluate, tune, and test a new ISDN Fiber-Optic Broadband Wide Area Satellite Network (WAN) for lightning fast daily operations. .
