Computer Vision with Deep Learning
Lane finding using OpenCV:
• Utilized OpenCV in Python Jupyter notebook to create a simple image processing pipeline for detecting, recognizing, and identifying highway lane lines in an image or video.
• Achieved lane line recognition across all frames of two different vehicle dash cam videos. Image classification with CNN:
• Utilized TensorFlow deep learning framework and OpenCV in Python to train a classifier for the GTSRB traffic sign dataset.
• Implemented data augmentation and image jitter to achieve 95.6% accuracy on hold-out test data set.
Behavior cloning:
• Utilized Keras deep learning framework and OpenCV computer vision framework in Python to train a car to drive in a simulator.
• Achieved full performance in the training environment, as well as a previously unseen environment, through intricate data selection/augmentation strategy and neural network tuning. Driver Distraction Detection
• Developed the Driver distracted detection software using QT, with Kinect v2 and Brio camera setup.
• with the Microsoft Kinect sensor, skeleton tracking and Head tracking is implemented to track the hand positions and head orientation.

• Implemented the engineering model of the car in SIMULINK using blocks, transfer functions, MATLAB functions.

• Combined different AI paradigms in Gazebo and rviz to build a home service robot that can map, localize, and navigate to perform household tasks, moving from one room to another autonomously.
Ball chasing Bot:
• Designed and build a robot and house in the world using gazebo.
• wrote C++ nodes in ROS to chase white colored balls. Localization
• Applied sensor fusion on rotary encoders and IMU data with the help of extended kalman filter package, estimating the 3D pose of the robot.
• localized the robot using Adaptive Monte Carlo Localization algorithm (particle filter approach) in ROS.
SLAM
• Researched and developed the Occupancy Grid mapping algorithm and GraphSLAM algorithm
• integrate the RTAB-map with the robot to create 2D and 3D maps of the environment. path planning
• Developed the Probabilistic Path planning algorithm which A* search.
• Put it all together and added an add_markers node with a pick_objects node with amcl localization to simulate a full home service robot capable of navigating to pick up and deliver virtual objects. VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES
