Specialist

Performs technical aspects to prepare tissues and body fluids for diagnostic evaluation. This
may include routine embedding, microtomy, staining, routine laboratory equipment
maintenance, special staining techniques, immunohistochemistry, and enzyme histochemistry.
Must ensure all regulations are met and all productivity and quality standards are met or
surpassed.
Assists the Pathologist in performing gross analysis of tissue prior to slide preparation.Uses
