Introduced periodic boundary conditions in out lab for the analysis of photonic crystal properties using FDTD (finite-difference time-domain) numerical simulations.

Utilized MATLAB optimization packages to optimize optical band-gaps utilizing parallel programming techniques.

Gained a deeper appreciation of the various applications and developments in photonics by editing journal submissions for numerous professors and in our department. AUGUST 2018 – JULY 2019

Physics Teacher / Klein-Cain High School

Shana Joubert (Assistant Principal and Supervisor) ac96jt@r.postjobfree.com Jacqueline Pluckhahn (Department Head) ac96jt@r.postjobfree.com

Designed and implemented curriculum for the 1st wave of physics students for the newly opened school, pushed for a different curriculum for trade-school bound students and initiated the foundation of the first Go club in Klein ISD.

Jhenyi Wu (Supervisor and Director) ac96jt@r.postjobfree.com +886-***-***-***

Curriculum design for both this school’s unique English Village as well as their Mobile English Unit held unique moments requiring a deeper analysis of both Eastern and Western culture, in particular me being asked to translate and build a lesson on the 24 Stories of Filial Piety. DECEMBER 2006 – OCTOBER 2015

English Teacher & Entrepreneur / Taiwan

Primarily taught English at various cram schools (details available upon request) in Taiwan while also furthering my education in Chinese, mathematics, and studying Photonics at NCKU. While I worked with all ages of students, from 3 years old to some into their 70s, I primarily instructed children aged 7 to 15. During the summer of 2014 I happily owned and operated the only taco stand in Taiwan to have corn tortillas on a gorgeous beach at the southern tip near Kenting. AUGUST 2005 – JULY 2006

IPC Teacher / Kempner High School, Fort Bend ISD

Worked completely independently to design and implement the curriculum for the Integrated Physics and Chemistry course at this school while winning the best-dressed teacher award. Education
