POST GRADUATION PROJECT
Title of the Project: Experimental studies on behaviour of tyre chips-aggregate columns Ground improvement using stone column is a common technique for construction in weak cohesive soils. Considering the cost aspect of stone column, the major portion owes to the cost of stone aggregates. Stone aggregates are scarce, natural resource and it is diminishing. Hence it is advisable to use some other cheaper material which can replace the stones without affecting the performance of stone column. This work involves the load - settlement response of stone columns in which aggregates are partially replaced by shredded tyre chips
Title of the Project: Effect of acid contamination on geotechnical properties of clayey soil The presence of soil contaminant has different effects on the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of soil. The effects mainly depend on the type and concentration of contaminant in the soil. The soil properties of contaminated soil samples have influenced significantly with the increase of contaminant concentration. This project aims to investigate the effect of Acid contamination on the geotechnical properties of clayey soil and to study the variation in properties of clay with variation in acidic concentration of pore fluid.
GRADUATION PROJECT
Title of the Project: Development of Crash Prediction Models for Uncontrolled Intersections Team Size: Four
The objective of the project is concentrated on development of models for predicting crashes of different severity levels. Here the modelling techniques like linear regression and generalised linear regression techniques are tried for model development. ACHIEVEMENTS AND AWARDS
