My responsibilities as a blue prism developer was to, first identify an existing manual business process and analyze if the process has the potential to be automated. After agreeing as a team that the process is appropriate for Blue prism, we started to map out the process and document every single step taken manually. Once the documentation of the process was complete, it was time to start development.
Once all pre-development documents were complete, I (we) started on the object design instructions (ODI) and process design instructions (PDI). In these documents we would plan out how the object was going to be built, as well as how the process would use the object. After the ODI and PDI were completed, development of the Object and Process was started (In some cases we were able to reuse existing objects, if an existing object worked we would use it to save time or add to it). If needed the object would be worked on first and then the process would come after, once all needed objects and processes for the specific process was finished I would do pre-testing on my own to make sure all actions and calculations stages were working properly. When my pre-testing was completed I would set up testing sessions with the business to test the process. Once we stabilized the process and were confident that it was working properly on the happy path and exception path, we would do a full speed test to make sure it would run with no issues at full speed. If any errors or bugs were found we would document them, fix them and re-test until all issues were fixed. Once everything was running as expected and the business was happy with the results, we would deploy it to production so that the business could use it for their work. After this we would move on the next process.

Automated this software so that the deployed BOT’s will take care about data entry and reporting works. And automated invoices pdf data to be saved. We have deployed around 15 bots, running 11 processes and handling ~1 million Requests-per/year.
