Work History
Summer Nanny July, 2018 – August, 2018 and June, 2019 to Current
Steph and Jake Alder – St. Paul, MN
I have been assisting this family since last summer and I am with them again full time this summer. Tasks included arriving early in the morning, making them breakfast, organized tasks and activities, driving to pools, water and amusement parks, feeding them lunch, keeping them entertained, resolving fights between the children (etc.)
Teachers Assistant August, 2018-June, 2019
Benjamin E. Mays School, St. Paul, MN
Throughout my senior year, I would go to this school to assist teachers with daily learning tasks. During this time I spent at the preschool, I often had to teach the children the alphabet, colors, shapes, rhyming words, and other things these children would learn at this time in their lives. I was also responsible for getting the kids ready to leave school. Which included dressing them up for the appropriate weather, lining them up, keeping them quiet in the halls and, bringing them to their parents or appropriate bus to ensure that they make it home safely. Over half the class had a variety of different needs and mental disabilities. Working with those kids has made me love doing what I do even more. A lot of the children also came from abusive homes, so it was informing to learn how to work with more shy children.
Child Transportation
Marlo, June, And Nickki – Mendota Heights, MN August, 2018-June, 2019
This job consisted of me picking up four girls from their middle school and driving them home and ensuring they got home safely. These girls often did not get along, so I think a huge part of my job was making sure everyone treated each other with respect and said kind words and solving their problems. I worked to maintain an outstanding attendance record, consistently arriving to work ready to go.
Family Babysitter
Jennifer – St. Paul, MN
Assisted family with multiple things- when needed and, was often a date night babysitter. On those nights my tasks were to prepare dinner for the 1 year old twins (boy and girl) and 6 year old girl, do activities with them (often outside), bathe them, and put them to bed. My job also included bringing the girl to gymnastics and bring the boy to hockey. Also took the kids out for ice cream treats when the parents gave the okay. I coordinated different types of activities to enhance physical and intellectual development. I balanced playtime and limited screen time Maintained effective schedule balance between rest periods, active play and instruction.
Part-time Nanny
Kelly – St. Paul, MN
Cared for two little girls for a few weeks during the summer. The ages of the girls were 18 months and 3 years old. I arrived every morning at 7:00am to wait until they woke up, make them breakfast, entertain them, prepare lunch, and ensure they're always having fun as young children always should. My job also included a lot of cleaning jobs and putting the girls down for naps. I bathed, dressed and helped with teeth brushing to promote healthy personal hygiene and good oral health. Also, established lasting, professional connections with families and children by encouraging open communication and delivering positive feedback
Family Babysitter
Pam Behr – St. Paul, MN
Family babysitter for two little girls when needed. The ages of the girls were 2 and 4 years old. Would often do crafts and go to the park near their house for fun. Offered positive and nurturing environments to support child social and emotional growth. Also, organized and, cleaned home after activities by picking up toys and doing dishes for tidy home when parents arrive
Family Babysitter
Rauha Herritz and Carissa Barden
Family babysitter to my little cousins ranging from ages 1-6 during family events. My job would simply include entertaining the kids and getting them snacks. Also, led indoor and outdoor activities and steered children away from dangers.
Day Care Assistant
Carol and Jim Behr Daycare – St. Paul, MN
Assisted daycare owners with daily activities in which they needed help with. Jobs included, preparing food, changing diapers, entertaining children, cleaning and putting children down for naps. I would often be the person the children would want to go to for comfort after a negative interaction with another child. I was dealing with children less than one years old to about 6. This was the time in my life where I was thought the most about what children need to grow up in a safe, healthy environment.
