DESIGNATION: INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Thorough understanding towards the project scope & specification of ICA part.

Identification of Typical logics, Interlocks, Process Alarms and Trip conditions based on design inputs in order to run the process in safer medium.

Preparation of engineering documents like MAS (Material Approval Sheet), Cable Schedule, I/O List, System architecture, Loop drawings, Control Philosophy, Execution/As built drawings, Method Statements for all execution activities (Installation, Testing and commissioning).

Coordinating with consultant/client for all the technical discussions related to project scope and also for the engineering documents approval prior to execution.

Testing of PLC panels, programmed I/O logics and SCADA graphics in line with the approved control philosophy prior to the FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).

Installation SCADA room equipment’s like Server Racks, UPS Racks, Video wall, Work bench and all other IT accessories as per the manufacturer recommendation.

Cold loop test and hot loop test will be performed for the field instruments like Level, Pressure, Flow, Temperature, and Analyzer which are wired to PLC and loop test report, and configuration reports will be submitted for approval.

Functional test performed for the final control elements like Flow control valves, Motor operated Valves, and Variable frequency drives in order observe the inherent characteristics during process.

Communication test (Modbus Serial, TCP/IP) will be performed for all the third party system

(VFD, MFM, Masibus Controller, UPS, Autoreclosures…etc.) in order to assign the IP Address provided by client and also read the Modbus parameter list.

Commission (Dry, Wet) assistance to SCADA Engineer in order to run the plant and Process very safely, efficiently based on project design and all the parameters, HMI Screens, Trends will be communicated via SCADA with the central control room (CCR) Project Experience

1. PROJECT: Infrastructure work for Bawsher Wilayat, July 2018-Jul 2019 CLIENT: PAEW (Public Authority for Electricity and Water) CONTRACTOR: TOWELL INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS CO. LLC (TIPCO) INST. SCOPE: Development of ICA system (GE RX3i CPE 400 PLC + Versamax I/O) for the portable water supply system in Bawsher Wilayat Area, which includes cabling works, instrument installation, PLC Panel installation, Field and panel termination works, Testing

(Cold loop test, Hot Loop testing & Functional testing), Pre-commissioning and commission for all the below mention sites.

2. PROJECT: SANDAN 33 KV TO 11KV 3 X 6 MVA PRIMARY SUBSTATION (OUTDOOR) Dec 2018 to Mar 2019

CLIENT: MAZOON ELECTRICITY COMPANY S.A.O.C, SANDAN CONTRACTOR: TIPCO/TELCO

INST. SCOPE: Development of ICA system (ABB RTU560 + 560 Series I/O) for the substation Automation for Sandan Industrial Area, which includes cabling works, RTU Panel installation, Field and panel termination works, Testing (Cold loop test, Hot loop test

& Functional testing), pre-commissioning and end to end test where all the signals from RTU will be checked from control center.

TEAM SIZE: Supervisor and 2 Technicians.

3. PROJECT: Infrastructure work for new residential area in Liwa Wilayat, Sep 2016-May 2018

CLIENT: Ministry of Housing/PAEW/HAYA

CONTRACTOR: TIPCO

INST. SCOPE: Development of ICA system (GE Rx3i CPE330 PLC + RX3i I/O Modules) for the Portable water supply system and ICA System (GE Rx3i CPE330 PLC, Seimens 6E7 511 CPU + 6ES75XX I/O Modules) for Sewer Conveyance system in New Residential Liwa Area, which includes cabling works, instrument installation, PLC Panel installation, Field and panel termination works, Testing (Cold loop test, Hot Loop testing & Functional testing), Telecom works (CCTV, ACS & IP-Telephone), Pre-commissioning and commission for all the below mention systems.
