Project Title Design Of Torque Enhancer For Hybrid Vehicles Using Planetary Gears

Objective / Description: We developed an alternate powertrain for hybrid vehicles called the

‘Torque Enhancer’. It is a planetary gear system with a sun gear, an internal ring gear, three planet gears, a planet carrier and a n outer ring casing. The two primary inputs an electric motor and an internal combustion (IC) engine shaft were connected to the sun gear and planet carrier respectively. The 3D modelling and simulation for dynamic motion is carried out in SOLIDWORKS 2018. The results how that a higher rpm and a higher torque were achieved on the output ring casing.

Project Title Optimization Of Ring Casing Of Torque Enhancer For Hybrid Vehicles

Objective / Description: This is an extension of our previous project involving the Torque Enhancer. An Optimization study is carried out to obtain optimum thickness of the carrier plate and ring casing of the design. The 3D modelling and simulation is carried out in SOLIDWORKS 2018. Varied thickness of the ring casing is tested and analysed to get various values of thrust, stress, displacement, strain and velocity experienced by the model. Project Title Solar Cooler

Objective / Description: Manufactured a wooden structure for making a solar powered cooler. The cooler consists of a solar panel and a battery along with fans and hay for cooling air. Future applications in cooling homes and rooms in remote areas where electricity is not accessible. Other Projects Undertaken (Completed)

Project Title Hexacopter Fabrication

Objective / Description: Made a hexacopter using bars of aluminium and Arducopter flight controller. DX8 transmitter and receiver were used for the control of the copter. With the thought of providing medical services to regions which are not easily accessible, the copter was designed to take a payload of 3.2 Kg. Fair amount of basic supplies can be sent to over difficult terrains and heavy weather conditions.
