Field Engineer/Construction Inspector

Working on ARCO’s Pipeline, Refinery and Super Tanker Terminals, was responsible for pipeline hydrotesting and service restoration, pipeline and facilities automation, pipeline replacements/relocations, SCADA system upgrade, MAXIMO system implementation and a variety of field construction supervision activities for all disciplines (Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical & Civil/Structural). Worked with/directed the activities of Union Represented Construction Crews (IBEW, Teamsters, United Steel Workers, Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers Union [OCAW], etc.)

Engineering, Drafting and Design

In working with various engineering and energy companies from 1979 to 1988 (listed below), the work activities were essentially the same, with the exception that responsibilities grew from basic engineering drafting to lead/principal systems designer during that period. Responsibilities included the lead/principal design and drafting of a variety of petrochemical and utility related systems for all disciplines (Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical & Civil/Structural). Designs included Electrical Schematics, Lighting Plans, Power Distribution Plans, Plot Plans, Conduit Plans, Transmission Line Plans, MCC Designs, Transformer Designs, PLC/Telemetry Plans, SCADA Connectivity Plans, Pipeline Alignments Sheets, Isometrics, Grading Plans, as well as many other types of designs for all types of Oil, Gas & Utility Infrastructure.
