Financial Close: review, reconcile, and close A/R, A/P, and cash flow to ensure highest levels of completeness, timeliness and accuracy. Drive monthly Analysis Review & Variance Analysis process. Handle ad hoc financial reporting.

Financial Reporting: apply lean standardized processes and reports to eliminate waste and to maximize stream-line processes to develop a highly efficient and effective financial reporting team.

GAAP: ensure accounting procedures are aligned with generally accepted accounting principles and compliance with all federal, state, local and contractual guidelines.

Financial Management: Identify and implement process and system improvements, consistent with approved policies, to fully account for monies entrusted and to maintain high quality expenditure.

Financial Planning and Analysis: deliver short, mid and long-term strategic financial plans to ensure financial health, cost reduction and continuous improvement.

Forecast and Budgeting: analyze and interpret the variances to improve performance for each cost center. Provide timely and accurate information needed to enhance profitability and business growth.

Cash Management: design internal auditing system and invest surplus cash in short-term markets. Produce a regular cash flow projection bi-weekly and 12-month cash needs to optimize working capital. Review all significant proposals to ensure corporate profitability and cash targets are met.

Fixed Assets: monitor and manage all capital expenditures, capital budgets, capital strategy, capital improvement plan and long range cash plan.

Corporate Accounting: oversee corporate related accruals and estimates, acquisitions, intangible and intercompany accounting processes.

Inventory Management: keep inventories at optimal levels for meeting customer needs without tying up too much cash. Identify slow moving items to be eliminated. Implement consistent audit processes to better reflect the actual inventory, reduce the lead time in shipping, and reduce the need for a physical count from 2 times to once per year. Working capital of 3.5% can be saved.

Income Measurement and Profitability Analysis: follow GAAP guidelines to review and validate P & L, investigate and resolve anomalies, and unusual trends. Use analytical techniques to cross check and break down the structure of profitability to provide financial insights for improving results.

Cost Data Control: accurately measure the cost of each product to determine each product’s contribution to total profit. Provide action plans and high quality cost analyses to reach corporate profitability, financial, and operational goals. Reduce overall costs 5.3%.

Internal Control: perform assessments to determine existing control procedures and effectively manage the risks to an acceptable level. Support SOX compliance requirements.

Business Taxation: prepare income tax provision for current year tax payable or refundable and any changes to future years that result from differences in timing when an item is reported. Manage federal, state, property and sales tax reporting.

Insurance & Risk Management: administer general liability insurance coverage and overall risk management program.

Evaluating Return on Stockholders Equity: achieve operations business goals and show how well management uses resources to produce profits. Oversee review of balance sheet health and work across departments to ensure all financial requirements are properly controlled.
