Project

Title of the Project: Analysis of Piezoelectric composite cantilever with 3D solid elements using ADINA.

Description :

In this project, analysis of a simple cantilever beam patched with piezoelectric layer on its top is being performed. For this, ADINA(Automatic Dynamic Incremental Nonlinear Analysis) software is used which works on the principle of Finite Element Analysis. Piezoelectric materials are of such kind which produces electric potential when they are being stressed. In performing analysis concentrated loads are applied at the free end of the cantilever beam composited with piezoelectric layer which generated electrical potential. So the generated electricity can be utilised for traffic signalling system, street lighting, buildings like gymnasiums, dance floors etc.
