Informatica – CPQ

Role: Salesforce Technical Lead

Informatica decided to move to a subscription-based model in order to sell their Products.

Since Informatica was already using Salesforce and Apttus for CPQ and was having a lot of issues with the Apttus Implementation, Informatica decided to use Steelbrick for its core CPQ functionalities.

In order to reach at the end goal of using Steelbrick CPQ and move all the Products in a subscription Model, Informatica decided to create a New Salesforce Org that will sell some of its subscription-based product using Steelbrick and eventually all the products would be moved to New salesforce org and they can finally retire the Existing Salesforce Org.

Deloitte helped Informatica in making this decision and currently is helping configuring a New Salesforce Org with Steelbrick CPQ to support subscription-based Products. Since, Informatica still have some Products that can only be sold via the existing Salesforce org, A new Lightning Interface is being implemented in the new org that will provide an easy and quick Process to the Sales Rep to filter/search and add different Type of Products on an Opportunity.
