Experience:

1. Final year project: “Food storage system using Phase Changing Material (PCM).” Usage of PCMs to increase the thermal insulation capabilities of cold storage devices was studied and a prototype was made. The heat retention properties of materials at their melting point is taken advantage of in the design. The ability of the storage unit to maintain a specific lower temperature for a longer period is made possible by using PCM 2. Paper Published: “CFD Analysis of Aerofoil for Darrius Vertical Axis Wind Turbine” The blades of a Darrius turbine are shaped like an aerofoil. The lift generated by an aerofoil is primarily due to its shape and also the angle of attack. The paper discusses the low velocity Lift and Drag characteristics of aerofoils that are to be used in Darrius wind turbines. In conclusion due to its consistent lift characteristics and low angle of attack the NACA0018 aerofoil is suitable for the desired low velocity application. 3. Internship at ICF:

The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) of the Indian Railways is the place where all carriages of the railways are made. The shell of the coach is made by cutting and welding of sheet and then all the interior fittings are added subsequently. Various forms of welding are used to fabricate the shell, including TIG welding, spot welding, SMAW welding, GMAW welding etc. Physically seeing all the welding methods and corelating them to what was studied in theory was the main highlight.

4. In-plant Training at DIRAK INDIA Panel Fittings Pvt Ltd: DIRAK INDIA is a company that imports, manufactures, and also supplies various hardware. They include metal hinges, locking mechanisms for enclosures and also electronic locking solutions. Their primary fabricators include Phoenix Precision Parts and New Cast Metal Die Casting. Following the entire product lifecycle and understanding the functioning of various departments was the main objective of this training. 5. Motor bike overhauling training (by PRIGMA):

The basic servicing and preventive maintenance of the motor bike was demonstrated during this seminar. The various aspects of proper functioning and signs of usual and unusual wear and tear were highlighted.

Since a young age I have enjoyed doing things with my hands. All through my childhood my dad and I would repair stuff in the house and would rarely hire someone to do the job. This inspired me to pursue my graduation in Mechanical engineering. Working in a factory or a fabrication shop is what I enjoy doing as it would involve working hands on with the product. Formula 1 and cooking are my two main interests. Being the pinnacle of motorsports, Formula 1 always amazes me with its technological advancements and the competitive spirit it comes with. Cooking is also one of my hobbies. Cooking with meat is what I am good at. I consider myself to be an honest and punctual person. Time management and logical reasoning are my strong suits.
