I am working at a tea bags export company as Assistant Production Manager from October 2010 up to now.

Duties and responsibilities of my present job given below.

1.Plan the production for new orders and prepare the machine plan for each machine lines to use the maximum utilization of plant capacity.

2.Confirm and lead the quality standard of each and every tea bags through procedures and systems to guarantee the end product as per the expectation of customer..

3.Balance the technicians, operators, supervises, OC’s and workers of each machine lines and other operations and control the overtime in cost effective manner.

4.Plan the tea material and labor for uninterrupted production to archive to meet the delivery.

5.Schedule the Maintainance and service and keep the standard the high technique machinery of 30 tea bagging machines, 6 over wrappers and other machinery’s to minimize the breakdown and maintain the quality of the machine.

6.Order and controlling the spare parts and tools for the machinery.

7.Monitoring system development programs of the factory.

8.Look at the recruitment, leave, bonus, increment, day to day work and other benefits to the workers.

9.Book, closed and plan the production orders in SAP.

Education qualifications and Language skills.

Pass the GCE Ordinary level, GCE Advance level and B. Sc. General Degree at the University of Colombo

Speaking/written/Understanding of Sinhala and English language in professional level.

Achievements

Improve the machine efficiency 85% to 91% by implement the hourly damage chart to each machine.

Convert the factory operations to modular system and benefited product cost, WIP, productivity, high CCC…..etc.

Streamline the bottlenecks by reducing the vacating rate and improve skill worker rates.

Additional skills.

Experience with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power Point.

Experience in SAP production planning.
